1947-2017 Joseph M. Lutsky, 70, of Glen Mills, PA died suddenly on September 14, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Joseph J. and Anna (Ann) K. Lutsky and has resided in Delaware County for the past 28 years. Joe was a 1965 graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School in West Chester; following high school he served three years in the US Army as an Army Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and in Vietnam with the 1st of the 17th Air Cavalry as a helicopter crew chief and door gunner. Joe attended the Pennsylvania State University prior to his employment with JC Penney and with PECO/ Philadelphia Electric Company at their Peach Bottom Nuclear facility. Joe’s greatest passion was his participation with Co B, 4th Texas Infantry – a local Civil War Reenacting Group based in southeastern Pennsylvania- building on his love of history and true friendship. Joe is survived by his brother Martin, sister-in-law Cathy, his niece Jennifer Armstrong, Jenn’s husband Mike and their crew of three – Avery, Cooper, and Emerson, and certainly his good and caring friends from Company B and the local community. Visitation: Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342, with the funeral mass to follow at 10:30 AM and burial in the family plot there at St Thomas.
